Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Is it safe to use a policy builder for my website / app?
Absolutely! Each Termly policy is handcrafted by licensed attorneys, adheres to all state and federal regulations, and is customized specifically for your business type. Rest assured that your policy is safe and compliant.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, feel free to email our legal counsel at: email@example.com.
Definitely! In order to operate an online shop, you will have to handle extremely sensitive information such as customer names and credit card numbers. Using our builder, you will be able to create a policy that discloses any sensitive information you handle so your customers will know that their information is secure.
3. Is Termly free to use?
We employ a team of hotshot attorneys that are constantly optimizing our legal policies–and they are expensive! But because we sell at volume, we are able to offer our service at a super low rate starting at just $9.95 per month. You can start with a FREE 14-day trial!
We also have tons of content, how-to guides, and templates that are absolutely free to download and use.
4. How will I keep my policies up-to-date with state and federal regulations?
Don’t worry! Our team of attorneys are constantly on the lookout for legal changes. When changes are made, we automatically update all of your relevant policies. With Termly, you get 100% compliant coverage 24 / 7 / 365.
5. Can I upload my own policies and edit them in the Termly dashboard?
Currently, users cannot upload policies that they’ve written by themselves onto the Termly dashboard. However, if there is a specific clause that you would like to add to your policy, please contact us to see if there is a way for us to accommodate your request.
6. I just updated my policy, do I need to let my customers know?
Definitely! Unless you want the Better Business Bureau to get involved, you should update your customers with notice of ANY policy changes so they know what to expect.
Luckily, Termly makes this super easy. Just update the policy, enable notifications, and voila! Termly will will make sure a dismissible browsewrap banner appears along the bottom of your website each time you update your policy. To learn more about browsewrap banners, check out our article here.
