With our customizable consent banners, you can easily gather user agreement to your legal policies, stay in line with laws like the GDPR, and even match the banner to the look and feel of your website.
1. What is a Consent Banner?
Consent banners appear when a user enters your site for the first time, and remain until that user has agreed to continue. They’re used to advertise policies and make consumers aware of various activities – like data collection – that may occur when they interact with your site.
2. How Does It Work?
Getting your consent banner up and running can be accomplished in just three simple steps!
Step 1: Enable Consent Banner
After you build your policies, head to your Termly dashboard, where you’ll find an “Enable Consent Banner” button.
Step 2: Customize the Appearance
After clicking the “Enable Consent Banner” button, you’ll find some customization options, so you can make sure your banner matches the rest of your site. You can customize various banner elements, including:
Step 3: Install and Verify
Lastly, you’ll need to install the code snippet on your site, then verify that everything is running smoothly.
To install the code snippet, just click “Install Code” and we’ll give you a line of text to paste onto your site.
After the code is installed, enter your website’s URL in the “Verify Installation” field, and we’ll check to make sure everything is where it needs to be.
And just like that, you have a custom consent banner!
