What Are Termly’s Multi-Language Policies?

Termly’s new automatic multi-language policy feature enables our users to present their website visitors with legal policies displayed in their preferred language set at the browser level.

This means your generated policies can now be viewed in multiple languages, ensuring important legal documents like your cookie and privacy policies are easier for your customers to read and understand.

Website visitors who want to view these policies in their chosen language can now do so seamlessly thanks to our most recent feature release.

What Languages Does Termly Support?

Up until now, your website visitors could view your generated legal policies in the following languages:

  • German
  • Spanish
  • Italian
  • French
  • German
  • Greek

As of our latest update, cookie policies can now also be translated into:

  • Slovak
  • Czech

  • UK English
  • Turkish
  • Arabic

The available Termly dashboard auto-translations now include:

Our team is working hard to add even more languages to this list. Our users will receive an email update when new languages are supported.

Which Policies Are Automatically Translated for Your Website Visitors?

The automatic multi-language feature applies to all of our legal policy generators, which currently includes the following:

Why Multi-Language Policies Matter

It’s important to present your users with website policies in their preferred language because it helps ensure they can genuinely read and understand the entire document.

This is required by data privacy and consumer protection laws, including the GDPR and the CCPA, and is not new.

Legal policies, like your privacy policy, cookie policy, and terms and conditions agreement, must be written in a way that’s accessible and understandable for all of your users.

Supervisory authorities hold businesses accountable if they violate this obligation.

How To Activate Termly’s New Feature

Our Termly customers do not need to do anything for this new feature to work.

The policies published on your website generated by Termly will adapt automatically based on the language your website visitors set as their preferred language in their browser settings.

Termly Helps Simplify Your Compliance Efforts

Termly’s team works around the clock to constantly improve our tools and solutions to ensure our customers have access to the best data privacy and consent management solutions.

Our new automatic multi-language policy feature is another step forward in making compliance faster, easier, and more accessible for all businesses.
