Deeper Dive Into Features and Solutions

Now, I’ll take a closer look at the features and solutions offered by Termly and Enzuzo to help you choose which solution is best for your business.

Free Services

Let’s start with free plans — both Termly and Enzuzo offer free plans to users, but I find Termly to be more well-rounded and comprehensive.

What Termly Offers Free User

Termly offers a free plan to users, which is accessed by making an account.

Free users get one policy generator and a basic version of the consent management platform (which includes the cookie policy generator).

Termly-offers-free-users

It also includes the following features:

  • Access to any 1 of the policy generators
  • Cookie policy generator
  • Cookie banner
  • Cookie script auto-blocker
  • HTML embeddable policies
  • Quarterly cookie scans
  • termly free plan example
  • FREE DSAR form

Termly’s free DSAR form sets them apart from Enzuzo because Enzuzo only includes one in their Growth plan, which is $29 per month.

With Termly, there’s no need for a free trial because the free use of their CMP never ends.

They also provide nine free templates on their website that anyone can use with clauses and legal considerations similar to the generators.

What Enzuzo Offers Free Users

Enzuzo also offers a free plan for users, but it’s more basic than Termly’s free options.

To sign up, you must also create an account, and it includes the following features:

  • 1 User and 1 Domain
  • Up to 5,000 monthly visitors
  • Unlimited scanned pages
  • Google Consent Mode
  • Edit banner design
  • Multi-lingual supports
  • Basic consent logs
  • DSAR Workflow
  • 3 monthly DSAR limit
  • Basic Privacy Policy
  • Basic Terms of Serice
  • Compliance health score

According to an FAQ on their website, the basic privacy policy is meant for businesses just starting out and wanting standard privacy features. However, what it includes and excludes is unclear compared to their paid plans.

There’s also a DSAR workflow in Enzuzo’s free plan that doesn’t include the custom form.

Enzuzo also discourages the use of legal templates, which I disagree with. While “Free” generators might be convenient, they often don’t include all clauses necessary to comply with applicable privacy laws.

In these cases, you’re better off using free templates, like Termly’s.

Paid Services

Next, I’ll compare Termly and Enzuzo’s paid services. Both companies offer a few different paid plans for users to choose from.

Termly’s Paid Plans

Termly has two paid plans available for businesses:

  • Starter Plan: $14/month when billed monthly, $10/month when billed annually
  • Pro+ Plan: $20/month when billed monthly, $15/month when billed annually

An agency plan is also available at a custom rate.

With the Starter Plan, users can access two policy generators and the Consent Management Platform (which includes the cookie policy generator) with up to 50,000 page views per month.

The Pro+ Plan provides users with access to all the policy generators and the CMP with unlimited banner views, and it unlocks the following additional features:

  • Multi-language supports
  • Weekly cookie scans
  • Auto-updated policies
  • Remove the Termly logo
  • IAB TCF v2.2 compatibility
  • Google Consent Mode v2 compatibility
  • Regional consent rules
  • Scan subdomains
  • Consent logs
  • Multi-user permissions

View Termly’s Pricing Page.

Enzuzo’s Paid Plans

Enzuzo offers the following paid plans to consumers:

  • Starter: $9/month when billed monthly, $7/month when billed annually
  • Growth: $29/month when billed monthly, $22/month when billed annually
  • Pro: $79/month when billed monthly, $59/month when billed annually

An enterprise plan is also available at a custom rate.

The starter plan includes five of Enzuzo’s seven policy generators, except the Subscription Services Agreement. Like the free plan, it supports up to 5,000 monthly visitors and includes unlimited scanned pages.

Their Growth plan features all six generators, allowing up to 10,000 monthly visitors and unlimited page scans.

Some of the other benefits and features include:

  • Multi-language supports
  • Multi-user permissions
  • Edit banner design
  • Consent logs
  • Google Consent Mode
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC)
  • Do Not Track
  • Geo-specific blocking
  • Remove Enzuzo branding
  • DSAR form
  • DSAR workflow + reporting
  • 20 monthly DSAR limit
  • Analytics and reporting

Their Pro plan is similar to their Growth plan but allows up to 30,000 monthly visitors, unlimited users, and an unlimited DSAR limit.

It also includes non-basic geo-specific auto-blocking and regulatory guidance.

Policy Generators

Now, I’ll look at the policy generators offered by both compliance solutions.

Termly has more policy generators than Enzuzo, and they offer free template versions of their legally backed generators, which Enzuzo doesn’t appear to offer.

The table below shows all nine of Termly’s generators and templates.

Termly Policy Generators Termly Templates
Privacy Policy Generator Privacy Policy Template
Cookie Policy Generator Cookie Policy Template
Terms and Conditions Generator Terms and Conditions Template
EULA Generator EULA Template
Acceptable Use Policy Generator Acceptable Use Policy Template
Return and Refund Policy Generator Return and Refund Policy Template
Shipping Policy Generator Shipping Policy Template
Disclaimer Generator Disclaimer Template
Impressum Generator Impressum Template

Enzuzo offers five policy generators to users, which include:

  • Privacy Policy
  • Cookies Policy
  • Terms of Service
  • End-user License Agreement
  • Subscription Services Agreement
  • Return Policy, with options to add shipping information
  • Shipping Policy

Consent Management

Now, I’ll briefly talk about the consent management tools offered by both Termly and Enzuzo.

Termly’s CMP includes the following features:

  • Cookie policy
  • Cookie banner
  • Script auto blocker
  • HTML embeddable policies
  • Weekly cookie scans
  • Privacy regulation monitoring
  • Remove Termly logo
  • Custom banner styles
  • Multi-language support
  • Regional consumer rules
  • Auto-updated policies
  • Multi-user permissions
  • Consent log
  • DSAR form
  • Google Consent Mode v2 compatibility
  • IAB TCF v2.2 compatibility
  • Can support Microsoft UET Consent Mode
  • Google CMP Partner with Gold status
  • Google Tag Manager
  • User consent preference center
  • WordPress Plugin available

Termly’s customizable consent banner, regional consumer rules, and multi-language support make their CMP ideal for businesses under one or more privacy laws.

But it’s also incredibly simple to use, meaning businesses with minimal technical knowledge can easily add Termly’s CMP to their website.

Enzuzo’s CMP includes the following:

  • Google Consent Mode
  • Edit banner design
  • Multi-language support
  • Customer banner CSS
  • Consent logs
  • Geo-specific blocking
  • Global Privacy Control
  • Do-Not-Track
  • Sub-domain consent
  • Remove Enzuzo branding
  • DSAR Workflow
  • Monthly DSAR Limit (unlimited with Pro plan)

Their CMP is also comprehensive and well-rounded like Termly’s, but their Pro plan costs significantly more per month than Termly’s Pro+ Plan.

Privacy Law Compliance

Both Termly and Enzuzo provide compliance solutions that accommodate several different privacy laws.

Termly’s CMP is configurable to meet the consent guidelines in over 70 regions and their Privacy Policy Generator covers 28 privacy laws and counting.

Their team updates the generator regularly, adding more laws to this list to help consumers keep up with the evolving legal landscape.

These laws get added to the ‘What laws does Termly cover’ resource article.

Enzuzo mentions the following privacy laws on their website, and it appears their privacy policy generator covers them:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
  • California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) – amendment to the CCPA
  • Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
  • Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD)
  • Quebec’s Law 25
  • Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)

Their website also mentioned that their CMP is configurable to comply with the GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, Quebec’s Law 25, and more.

Customer Support

Both Termly and Enzuzo offer multiple customer support channels.

Termly’s support options include a live chat and working phone line available from Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM EST.

They also have a contact form on their site, which leads to a support email, and Termly provides support articles and other content on the website.

Enzuzo has support available by chat, and you can sign up for a 30-minute demo call.

Support articles and documentation are also available on their website.

Customer Reviews + Business Accolades

Termly and Enzuzo both appear to be well-rated by customers.

But, Termly has higher average ratings and more reviews on Trustpilot, whereas Enzuzo only has a single review at the time of researching for this article:

  • Termly earned a 4.7 ‘excellent’ on Trustpilot based on 460 reviews.
  • Enzuzo earned a 3.6 ‘average‘ on Trustpilot based on 1 review.

Termly’s happy customers mention enjoying the fast, helpful customer support, the range and ease of use of the products, and receiving essential updates.

Enzuzo’s customers enjoy its ease of use, often calling it user-friendly.

Additional Features

Termly and Enzuzo offer additional features that are ideal for different kinds of businesses.

For example, all Termly’s generators include tips and answers to commonly asked questions written by their legal team and data privacy experts.

These tips help simplify the complex process of legal compliance.

Enzuzo’s Enterprise Plan offers data mapping capabilities via its co-pilot program, which helps businesses build data inventories.

It also includes features like incident management and reporting on request.

Which One Is Right for You?

Both Enzuzo and Termly offer helpful privacy solutions for businesses.

Enzuzo offers plans that are more expensive than Termly. Termly also has more reviews and a higher average customer rating on review sites like Trustpilot.

Overall, Termly is ideal for entities seeking to meet obligations outlined by privacy laws and those who want to implement best practices for data privacy.

But when picking a privacy compliance partner for your business, only you can decide who’s the right match for you.
